Post Comic-Con 2006

Wow!! Comic-Con was a blast!!! STill recovering from it all. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came by our booth. Thank you, thank you for all the support and encouragement!!!!!! It was truly great meeting all of you. It's so great to now have a face with the name!

I'll be gone for a week for vacation, so I won't be posting til August 4. At that time, I want to start a blogroll of all those great folks I met at the Con. I also want to start posting new work for my next book. As mentioned before, I hope to do a hardcover, color book next time around. As far as Volume 2, they will be available through Stuart Ng BUT not until I return after August 4. THere is some interest in republishing Volume 1 again, but that is still pending. Of course I'll keep ya posted.

In the meantime, keep drawing, keep creating, and of course, fists high!!! Saludos mi brothers and sisters!!! Catch you in a week!

A pleasure to meet you at last. Thanks so much for your hospitality, encouraging words, and good spirits! The absolute highlight of the Con for me... meeting Chris Sanders and John Nevarez. Those sketches you did for me completely blew everyone in Atlanta away! Keep up the awesome and inspiring work.

Good seeing you again John!

Quick questions for you:

(1) Somehow I forgot to pick up your new sketchbook! I think I was distracted by friends or something. Any way I can get that through the mail?

(2) I didn't have the cash on me at the time to pick up the dvd, so I was gonna purchase it later. I went to the Entertainment Art Academy website and it's not for sale yet in the store. Do you know when that will be available?

Thanks John! Hope to see you again soon!

Best,

Jonathan

Hey John!

Thanks for the awesome link, and talking to you in person was great. I can't wait until you do those new DVD's too.

I'd love to see more of your layouts. They looked fabulous in your sketchbook.

Have a great vacation!

I wish I could have been at the con. Not only are you one of the best artists I've had the priveledge of finding, you are also, bar none, the most thoughtfull!

Very truly, thank you. I was amazed! I hope WE get to meet at some point. Maybe I'll see you at the next Emerald City Comic Con!

Enjoy your vacation. Connect with your family. Smile a lot. Laugh constantly... loud.
Thanks again,
Dennis DeMercer

Man, you guys were rocking the con! I like the fact that I can go right down your table, buy your junk, and be sold on it sight unseen! Congrats!

John -

I hafta say, meeting you was definitely a highlight for me at the con. What a pleasure. It's always so rewarding for me as an artist to meet the people who's work I admire and find out that they're such genuinely nice people too!

I put together a book this year and you were kind enough to trade books with me and honestly that's what the convention is all about for me - meeting people and sharing art.

After the con and the visual overload I was stoked to get back to the drawing board!

Take care and I hope to see you again next year! Oh, and thanks again!
